WIRL Engineering builds production-intent Edge AI and Industrial IoT systems. We handle the complete engineering lifecycle — from system architecture and feasibility analysis through custom PCB design, embedded firmware, edge AI development, secure cloud integration, and manufacturing-ready product architecture.
This is not a generalist software shop with hardware capabilities. This is not a design agency that has added an engineering practice. WIRL Engineering is an engineering firm with a focused, deep practice in a specific set of technically demanding disciplines.
We serve clients in industrial manufacturing, enterprise IoT product development, and critical infrastructure — environments where reliability, security, and production readiness are not preferences. They are requirements.

We do not start building before we understand the problem. Every engagement begins with a rigorous architecture phase that defines the technology stack, deployment constraints, certification path, and cost model. This phase is not a formality — it is the work that makes everything after it possible.
Full accountability across disciplines
Hardware, firmware, AI, and cloud integration are not separate workstreams assigned to separate teams. They are interdependent disciplines managed under a single engineering team. This eliminates the integration failures that occur when discipline boundaries become accountability gaps.
Certification is a design constraint, not a deliverable
FCC, CE, UL, and relevant certifications are engineering inputs that shape PCB layout, component selection, and firmware behaviour. Treating them as deliverables — things to be achieved after the system is built — is a reliable path to schedule overruns and budget surprises.

WIRL Engineering operates under a Certificate of Authorization issued by Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). This authorization permits the firm to offer engineering services to the public in the Province of Ontario and to serve clients across Canada and the United States.
Professional engineering oversight is applied to all technical deliverables. Clients receive the assurance of regulated engineering practice — not an informal technical service.
